*Sohag University is signing a cooperation protocol with the Directorate of Health and Population to support the health sector*
Prof. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, received Dr. Ahmed Hassan Abu Hashem, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Sohag, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Karim, Undersecretary of the Directorate of Health and Population in the governorate, and Dr. Hassan Mahrous, Director General of Therapeutic Medicine in the Directorate, to discuss mechanisms for signing a cooperation protocol between the Directorate of Health Affairs and the university represented by the faculties (medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and nursing), to support the health sector and eliminate waiting lists.
During the meeting, Al-Nomani confirmed that the university is in the process of signing a cooperation protocol with the Directorate of Health and Population, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership on the necessity of improving the public health of citizens and achieving comprehensive health coverage, and in order to activate the health initiatives launched by the President of the Republic.
The most important of which is the initiative to eliminate waiting lists, which was launched in 2018, with the aim of saving the lives of thousands of patients, alleviating the suffering of those unable, and performing urgent and critical surgeries with the highest quality and as quickly as possible in all government, university, private and private hospitals.
