The Student Affairs Department strives for excellence and leadership in educational quality to build a knowledge-based society and prepare qualified human capital capable of achieving competitive advantage and sustainable development.
Mission
To provide an effective academic environment through the continuous development of educational programs aligned with local and global quality standards and development plans in order to meet students’ knowledge and skill needs, and to offer graduates opportunities for education, innovation, and professional development across various fields, thereby fulfilling labor market aspirations, achieving sustainable development, and building a knowledge-based society.
Objectives
- Receiving and orienting new students nominated by the Coordination Office at the start of the academic year.
- Preparing enrolment certificates for new students.
- Preparing and issuing university ID cards for new students.
- Participating in the planning of new student distribution across the various departments.
- Issuing certificates of completion to students who have finished their studies at the college.
- Addressing and resolving issues related to scholarships awarded to college students
Services Provided by the Student Affairs Department
Services Provided by the Student Affairs Department
- Enrollment Procedures for Students Nominated for College Admission
- Receiving students nominated for admission and collecting their files—including those holding General Secondary
- Education certificates, Technical Education certificates, and international students—reviewing the documents, and recording their details in the new student rosters.
- Distributing admission test forms (medical examination and personal interview) to the students and collecting the completed forms to finalize enrollment procedures.
- Issuing tuition payment slips and handing them to students so they may proceed to the cashier’s office for payment
- Recording fee receipt details (number, date, and amount) after students have paid tuition fees at the college treasury and presented the payment receipt to the designated official in the Student Affairs Department.
Card Issuance
- Obtaining a payment authorization from the relevant year-group official in the Student Affairs Department.
- Paying the prescribed amount at the college treasury.
- Submitting the payment slip and a personal photo to the relevant year-group official in the Student Affairs Department to have the ID card issued
Obtaining a Replacement faculty ID Card
- Submit a formal request to the faculty University Security Director.
- Pay a fee of 5.40 EGP at the cashier’s office (this amount doubles for subsequent replacements).
Military Service Deferment for Male Students
- The student must obtain “Form 6-Jund” (Military Status Form) from his local police station.
- The student fills out the form and submits it to his designated class coordinator; it is then forwarded to the University’s Military Liaison Office to finalize the deferment procedures.
Obtaining Enrollment Certificates
- The student obtains a payment slip from the Student Affairs office and settles the payment at the treasury.
- The student submits the treasury receipt to the designated class representative to have the certificate issued
Procedures for Disbursing Academic Excellence Awards
- An incentive award is granted to students who achieve a score of 80% or higher in their General Secondary Education (Thanaweya Amma) exams. Awards are also granted to students in other academic years based on the following criteria:
- Students achieving an overall grade of “Excellent.”
- Students achieving an overall grade of “Very Good.”
Authentication of all documents issued by the Youth Welfare Department:
- Training course registration forms.
- Social assessment forms.
Authentication of student-related documents.
- Passport application form.
- National ID card.
- Referral of students for medical review pending transfer.
- Approval of medical excuses.
Examination-related tasks
- Preparing statistical data on student numbers by academic year and course.
- Tabulating the number of students sitting for the exam in each individual course.
- Assigning student seat numbers.
- Printing student names and seat numbers on lists and submitting them to the examination control office.
- Preparing exam schedules and announcing them to students to solicit their feedback within a specified timeframe.
- Modifying the schedules based on the suggestions received.
- Announcing the final exam schedules clearly in designated locations and on the college’s website.
- Identifying and preparing the necessary venues for holding exams, and creating a map (layout) of exam room locations for all academic tracks and students.
- Overseeing the processing of excuses submitted by students for missing exams and communicating these to the examination administration office.
- Stamping answer sheets on a daily basis and handing them over to the invigilators following their daily assignment and reassignment to exam locations.
- Handing over the answer sheets to the invigilators at the preparation and organization committee headquarters after counting them.
- Maintaining a constant presence at the exam venues throughout the examination period
