Head’s Word
Educational technology has become concerned with the systematic application of research, theories and practices of teaching and learning processes, classical learning resources and the employment of all human and non-human elements in the fields of education and learning.
The head of the Department and faculty members have to extend their sincere appreciation to the administration of the faculty of Education – Sohag University represented by prof/ the Dean of the College and its Vice Deans for their support in order to advance the department to achieve its mission.

Educational technology is a part of all purposeful educational practices, designing, producing and using digital educational environments in accordance with international quality standards to contribute to solving human learning problems.
The Mission
The excellence and professional quality in the field of preparing the teacher and researcher in the field of educational technology who are capable of designing and disseminating technological innovations in the various stages of education, and confirming quality assurance in the department’s programs in planning.
The Curriculum and Teaching Methods Department at Sohag University aims to:
Familiarize students with the types of curricula for the different educational stages.
Training students on different teaching skills.
