Community service and environmental development sector

A word from the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs

The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty of Education is committed to providing a variety of educational, psychological, cultural, and awareness services to equip the target audiences—whether within the college community or the broader local community—with skills, knowledge, and positive attitudes in areas related to the nature of the faculty as a distinguished center of expertise within the community.

These objectives are achieved through various offerings, such as training courses, workshops, educational and awareness seminars, environmental and artistic competitions related to community service and environmental development, participation in comprehensive and environmental university caravans, national and local holiday celebrations, involvement in diverse initiatives, and the provision of educational, psychological, and cultural consultations. The sector also actively engages in the implementation of protocols established with relevant institutions and seeks to develop new agreements with local community organizations for genuine collaborative efforts.

In this context, the Faculty’s Community Service and Environmental Development Sector organizes field visits to various development sectors and participates in social events, including collaborations with educational, cultural, and social solidarity institutions, among others. This sector is dedicated to active community participation, addressing local social issues, raising public awareness among different groups, and striving for societal growth and improvement.

Additionally, the sector works on fostering internal development within the faculty to create a positive, creative, and supportive educational environment for all members of the institution. This contributes to preserving the social and natural environment of the institution and enhancing the loyalty and sense of belonging among students and staff toward their community.

By making these efforts, the Community Service and Environmental Development Agency at the Faculty of Education aims to contribute to fulfilling the college’s mission, which aligns with the broader mission of the university, in fostering communication and support for the local community, strengthening internal bonds within the college, and promoting distinguished community engagement.

To achieve these goals, an annual plan for community service and environmental development has been developed, derived from the strategic plans of both the college and the university, and consistent with the strategic goals of Egypt. The sector works to publicize its services and activities directly or indirectly for maximum impact.
