A preparatory initiative has been undertaken to sign a cooperation protocol between the Faculty of Education at Sohag University and the Sohag Directorate of Education, aiming to enhance the professional development of teachers.

As part of efforts to improve the educational system and achieve integration between academic institutions and executive bodies, the groundwork has been laid for a joint cooperation protocol. This partnership seeks to strengthen effective collaboration between both parties, ultimately reflecting positively on the quality of education and the professionalism of educational personnel.

Proposed Areas of Cooperation within the Protocol:

  1. Sustainable Professional Development for Teachers:

    • Organizing training courses and workshops for teachers across various disciplines, focusing on the latest developments in the educational process.

    • Facilitating the exchange of expertise between university faculty members and field teachers on topics such as educational technology, inclusive education, modern teaching strategies, and alternative assessment methods.

  2. Annual Teachers’ Forum:

    • Hosting an annual educational forum that brings together distinguished teachers and university faculty to share successful experiences.

    • Discussing practical challenges in the educational field and proposing innovative solutions.

    • Honoring outstanding teachers and promoting a sense of belonging and appreciation for the profession.

  3. Support and Development of “University Schools”:

    • Collaborating to enhance the professional and administrative performance of university-affiliated schools under the Faculty of Education.

    • Providing technical and educational support to these schools as pioneering educational models in the governorate.

    • Implementing field visit programs for student-teachers to gain practical experience.

  4. Educational Research and Evaluation:

    • Encouraging the conduct of joint field research addressing educational issues in the governorate.

    • Exchanging data and studies that contribute to improving educational policies.

  5. Community Awareness and Engagement:

    • Organizing awareness events and initiatives targeting the school and local communities to enhance societal participation in supporting education.
