played a significant role in preparing teachers for all stages of pre-university education. It prepares kindergarten teachers, basic education teachers, as well as secondary school teachers of all disciplines. The teacher is considered the backbone of the educational process in pre-university education and bears the responsibility of reforming education and advancing the teaching–learning process. Therefore, the Faculty of Education holds utmost importance for its pivotal role in preparing teachers who are capable of competing at the local, regional, and global levels.
Accordingly, the Faculty of Education, through all its departments and sectors, strives to establish outstanding academic programs and provide the best educational services to student-teachers. The aim is to equip them with diverse knowledge, multiple skills, and positive values and attitudes, through a supportive learning environment and effective administration that ensures the availability of all necessary resources—teaching halls, specialized laboratories, advanced technological facilities, as well as qualified and well-trained human resources across all fields of education, its methods, and its mechanisms.
In this way, the Faculty is able to prepare teachers with the competencies required to meet the demands of the labor market in today’s world with all its technological and societal changes. These teachers contribute to achieving the goals of society and advancing it in the educational and pedagogical fields, in line with clearly defined objectives and a vision inspired by the mission of Sohag University and aligned with the great vision of our nation, Egypt.

The sector aspires to provide pioneering educational and student services by providing a distinguished educational process and student activities capable of graduating a distinguished, successful generation that serves the goals and aspirations of society.
Serious and effective contribution to the preparation of qualified graduates equipped with scientific and cultural knowledge, diverse experiences and skills in all fields in accordance with academic standards, capable of giving, creativity and competition in the local, regional and global labor market.
In accordance with the text of Article (35) of the executive regulations of Law No. 49 of 1972, the college’s dean for education and student affairs assumes the following tasks:
– Assigning students to the college and supervising the students’ practical training. – Studying departmental proposals regarding secondments for teaching and exams from outside the college in preparation for presenting them to the college council. – Supervising the care of students’ sports and social affairs. – Supervising the follow-up of the teaching of national and military education courses in the college.
– Supervising student affairs, Tabinen. – Preparing what was produced by the scientific college of the college in relation to it. – Then after that, you are waiting for an agent for education and student affairs to carry out the tasks specified by the university law. There are motivational tasks to perform:
– Supervises the preparation of databases as a basis for information, decision-making, and the preparation of periodic reports for the education and student affairs sector at the college. – Supervising the provision of appropriate educational equipment and ensuring optimal employment in the teaching and learning processes at the college.
– Participation in the work of development and qualification projects for academic accreditation at the college. – Follow up on entering student data into the university’s database, updating it, and recording it in records. – Participation in training courses implemented by the college, which increases the efficiency of college employees.
– Review exam schedules before approving them. – Working to educate the student about the university’s rules and regulations and its executive rules related to the student, the educational process, and students’ rights and duties regarding study and exams. – Follow up the evaluation work to ensure the validity of the application and solve evaluation problems or obstacles (whether periodic or at the end of the year). – Follow up on academic supervision by following up on the Student Support and Academic Guidance Unit and contributing to facilitating the obstacles it faces.
– Follow up and adhere to office hours. – Solve urgent problems, make the necessary decisions, and suggest how to deal with these problems. – Studying student case committees, chairing disciplinary committees for violating students, and applying legal procedures against them in accordance with the approved systems and controls. – Preparing a comprehensive report on the performance in the educational process, evaluating this performance, the obstacles and application problems, how to deal with them, and how to deal with these problems, and expressing an opinion on how to improve future performance.
The Education and Student Affairs Sector is responsible for the following tasks:
– Participation in drawing up the policy for study, examinations, education and students at the Faculty of Arts in Sohag.
– Follow up on the implementation of the decisions of the Sohag University Council, the Education and Student Affairs Council, and the College Council regarding students and the educational process.
– Preparing the statistics and data required to extract information and prepare periodic and annual reports on the educational process at the college.
– Reviewing and announcing the necessary teaching schedules and determining the hours required for them.
– Receiving new students and distributing them to the various programs in the college in accordance with the standards approved by the College Council.
– Providing all student services and facilities necessary for the complete completion of the educational process.
-Investing in the energies of the college’s youth and developing their cognitive, artistic, sports, and scientific skills through annual plans to care for youth and the mobile clan.
– Providing services, documents, moral support, and continuous follow-up to graduates, which contributes to providing them with job opportunities commensurate with their academic qualifications and technical capabilities.
– Preparing a comprehensive report on the performance in the educational process, evaluating this performance, the obstacles and application problems, how to deal with them, and how to deal with these problems, and expressing an opinion on how to improve future performance.
